Who We Are

Empowerment Leadership Academy is a purpose-driven learning community committed to developing confident, capable, and empowered learners. We exist to support students who thrive in environments that value structure, patience, high expectations, and genuine relationships.

Founded by veteran educator and instructional leader Dr. Ulelia Childs, our academy is built on the belief that academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand. With over 15 years of experience in education, our leadership brings proven instructional practices, strong systems, and a deep understanding of how students learn best.

At Empowerment Leadership Academy, we combine small-group instruction, intentional mentorship, and leadership development to help students strengthen their academic skills while building confidence, discipline, and purpose. We partner closely with families to create a supportive, respectful culture where students are seen, supported, and challenged to rise to their full potential.

Who We Serve

Empowerment Leadership Academy serves neurodivergent students and families who are underserved by traditional educational systems, with a specific focus on learners diagnosed with or exhibiting characteristics of ADHD, ADD, and executive functioning challenges. These students often experience academic underperformance and disengagement not due to lack of ability, but due to learning environments that are not designed to supportdiverse attention and regulation needs.
